The second phase of this town centre redevelopment involved the reconstruction of Portland Street as a shopping thoroughfare with traditional retail units totaling 70,000 sq ft.

Substantial public realm improvements were carried out as part of this development in conjunction with East Ayrshire Council and Scottish Enterprise Ayrshire.
